Planting & Care
Planting: When planting your Pampas Grass, choose a location with full to partial sun (Pampas Grass will grow best in full sun), with plenty of room for your grass to grow. Pampas Grass can tolerate a variety of soil, as long as the soil is well drained.
Watering: Water newly planted Pampas Grass deeply once or twice a week to help it establish. After establishment (about 3 months or so), Pampas Grass is drought tolerant and will typically be able to thrive on rainfall alone. Water more frequently in extreme heat, especially during the first summer.
Fertilizing: Although you don't need to fertilize this fast-growing grass, you can fertilize with a slow release, balanced fertilizer in spring.
Pruning: Prune Pampas Grass to the ground in late winter or early spring, before new growth emerges.
