Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant your Burning Bush in an area that receives full to partial sunlight (4 to 6 hours of sunlight per day on average). Although your Bushing Bush prefers full sunlight, it will tolerate shade.
Burning bushes prefer acidic soil, but will adapt to your natural soil even if it's sandy or heavy in clay as long as it's well-draining. Dig a hole that's large enough to accommodate your Burning Bush's root ball, place your shrub, and backfill the soil. Finally, mulch the surrounding soil and water.
2. Watering: Let your surrounding soil dry to the touch down to about 2 inches. Once your soil is dry in this area, give your Burning Bush a deep watering at the base.
3. Fertilizing: Fertilize your Burning Bush at the beginning of every spring and in the middle of summer with an acidic fertilizer.
